I write essays about what technology, media, and ultra-capitalism have quietly done to ordinary life. Hopefully helping to explain the underlying technical efforts both for myself and others. The aim is not outrage. It's accuracy. Most of these systems depend on the public not understanding how they work, so each piece tries to lay out the mechanics plainly, with sources, and let the conclusion follow from them.

The name No One's Happy is not a complaint about my own life. It's shorthand. A representation of how I believe these factors have affected our lives.
